EUROPE@DJHT – 17th German Child and Youth Welfare Congress, 18-20 May 2021, online

Every three or four years, Germany’s Child and Youth Welfare Association (AGJ) organises the German Child and Youth Welfare Congress (DJHT).

Every three or four years, Germany's Child and Youth Welfare Association (AGJ) organises the German Child and Youth Welfare Congress (DJHT).

DJHT, i. e. Deutscher Kinder- und Jugendhilfetag, brings together experts and other interested individuals from all over Germany and Europe to exchange opinions and experiences and strengthen networks. Together with AGJ, JUGEND für Europa, the German National Agency for Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps, organises a European programme of special events called Europe@DJHT.

And participants are now cordially called for.

Target group?

Europe@DJHT invites you (if you are a youth worker or trainer, expert, youth project manager or youth policy maker, or a youth researcher) to join discussions on current challenges and topics connected to welfare and well-being of young people and to youth policy across Europe. Besides, it provides an opportunity to network, share good practice examples, and peer-learn.

What’s in it for you?

JUGEND für Europa sets up an exciting three day programme, built around the questions of what challenges youth work has to face and what youth work can offer in these challenging times in Europe. For all events of Europe@DJHT, simultaneous interpretation into and from German and English will be available.

  • Up to 30 events of the European programme Europe@DJHT, dealing with a variety of experiences, developments, and trends in European youth work, European youth policy, international exchange and mobility as well as opportunities for further training for organisations and professionals from the international youth work community.
  • An expert forum entitled 'Shrinking Spaces: Youth Work under Pressure' as part of Europe@DJHT, discussing how space for civil society engagement and especially for youth work in Europe is affected by the current political, social, legal, and financial developments.

You can find more information about Europe@DJHT in this invitation and this workshop catalogue.

Application deadline is 2 May 2021. Why not apply today?
